My name is Matt Schwartz. I study political communication at George Washington University.

I want to tackle complex societal problems, areas of inequality pulling communities apart, by innovatively combining strategic political communication and human-centered design. I believe indifference towards government presents as large a threat to American democracy as anything else.

Only together can elected officials and everyday people address the dilemmas of my generation: privacy protection, environmental sustainability, college costs, issues of civil rights and justice.

I co-produced, filmed, and edited this 3-minute mini-documentary profiling two local organizations, Charlie's Place and Street Sense, working to fight hunger and homelessness in Washington, DC.
